Wurm Unlimited

Not sure if anyone actually bought this... But if you did, since i hadnt heard anything about a server, I Created Gideons Army Server.

It is now listed in the public servers on the login screen.

I bought it haven't touched it in awhile though. I tried to connect but game keeps crashing out of every server I try to join.

looks like you need to update server before I can connect.

Getting ready to go to work now. but i'll try to get back on when I get off.

Oh ok man. Try taking off that stupid vsync thing too in the settings.

Ok I took Vsync off still no luck. well try again in about 10 hrs.

btw did you create a custom world or use a default one?

Don't have a lot setup there yet but is a custom map so your in game map will not work.

Yea its my server. give me 5 more minutes maybe and it should be back up. Apparently it missed an update cause i was logged in

Yea I've been back and forth with them on it today. Something crashed it. Lol. It was working fine on the last thing I updated. Then I couldn't sleep so I went back to check do some more stuff and it's apparently crashing on boot up. Maybe I overloaded it :p

Yeah the Pid keeps showing 0. after hitting restart the pid comes back up shortly but then back to 0.

Yea. Something is crashing it. I'm not sure what. I did have to log in a bunch of times with different user Ids as I was tweaking the starting points. Which those do work now.
A trouble ticket is in. They were looking into it earlier. But the only thing I did before it started acting up was drop a deed to try it out and then logged.
Oh and your kingdom influence was updated. You're almost to 1% lol

Drk. we may have to reboot the server. these guys seem to know less about it than i do. I will wait for your input. but i have changed everything back and forth that i actually changed and still no progress.

I have no problem with a reboot. What we lose doesn't matter if we can't play anyway.

Would you consider changing the host provider if we go in together with it? If not it's cool. If you do consider it check out https://www.citadelservers.com/

Sorry Rot, I was out of town getting the wife a new PC. I'm not sure what you want. Did you check the pricing at Citadel? That indy sized map is a 4096 sized map which would cost $27.00 per month. Sounds pretty high but really good for that sized map. A 2048 map would be $13.50 per month.

I'm willing to help pay for whatever server size you want to go with. but I know we don't need to go any bigger than 4096.

Go here to download the map file for our server.

To add the map to ingame do the following:

Navigate to your graphics.jar (probably at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Wurm Unlimited\WurmLauncher\packs")


Using 7zip or similar, open (not extract) the jar file and navigate to gui -> testmaps


Drag your map into that folder replacing the existing freedom.png
